
Day 01: Arusha (1.540m) - Marangu Gate - Mandara (2.750m) :
Day 02: Mandara (2.750m) - Horombo Hut (3.780m) :
- Seven hours walk till Horombo hut (3.780m)
- Short time through forest
- Rest of the day though heather and moorland zone
- Camping place is a valley surrounded with giant lobelia and groundsel
- Overnight in Horombo huts
Day 03: Horombo Hut (3.780m) - acclimatisation :
- Acclimatisation walk till 4.000m direction Mawenzi hut
- On the way "zebra rock"
- Rest place at 4.300 m (fantastic view on Kilimanjaro, Mawenzi and Kibo hut)
- Overnight in Horombo huts
Day 04: Horombo Hut (3.780m) - Kibo Hut (4.750m) :
- Six hours walk till Kibo hut (4.750m)
- Rugged and rocky landscape
- Lobelias & groundsels
- Overnight in Kibo huts
Day 05: Kibo Hut (4.750m) - Gillmans Point (5.680m) - Uhuru Peak (5.895m) - Horombo Hut (3.780m) :
- Six hours night climb to Gillmans Point (5.680m)
- Start around midnight
- Last part to Gillmans Point very steep
- One hour walk along the crater's rim till Uhuru Peak (5.895m) the highest point of Africa
- Descent to Horombo
- Overnight in Horombo huts
Day 06: Horombo Hut (3.780m) - Marangu Gate - Arusha :
- Descent to Marangu Gate
- 2 hours drive to Arusha

Day 01: Arusha (1.540m) - Machame Gate - Machame Camp (3.000m) :
- 2 hour drive to Machame gate (plantation of bananas, coffee, maize)
- Registration at the National Kilimanjaro Park office at Machame.
- In the morning trek through dense montane forest to Machame Hut (3.000m)
- In the afternoon trek through giant heather
- Overnight in Machame camp
- The whole trek takes between 5 and 7 hours
Day 02: Machame Camp (3.000m) - Shira Camp (3.800m) :
- Leaving the forest,
- The trail follows a steep ridge
- Heather and open moorlands,
- Crossing a large gorge to reach Shira Camp (3.800m)
- Overnight in Shira Camp
- The whole trek takes between 5 and 7 hours
Day 03: Shira Camp (3.800m) - Barranco Camp (3.900m) :
- The path turn eastwards
- Ascending through the dry landscape before dropping again to reach Barranco Hut (3.900m).
- Overnight in Barranco Camp
- The whole trek takes between 5 and 7 hours
Day 04: Barranco Camp (3.900m) - Barafu Camp (4.600m) :
- The path climbs steeply out of the Barranco Valley,
- Crosses the Karanga Valley,
- Turns north to reach Barafu Camp (4.600m).
- Overnight in Barafu Camp
- The whole trek takes between 8 and 9 hours
Day 05: Barufu Camp (4.600m) - Uhuru Peak (5.895m) - MwekaCamp (3.100m) :
- Start around midnight
- The path climbs up the western ridge of the Southeast Valley,
- At the main wall the path became very steep true scree and snow
- Reach the crater rim at Stella Point (5.896m)
- From here join the route from Gillman's Point
- Continue westward the Kibo rim till Uhuru Peak (5.895m) the highest point of Africa
- The climb takes between 6 and 7,5 hours
- Back to Stella Point
- Down to Barafu camp
- Further steep down through giant heather
- The way down till Mweka hut take another 4,5 till 7 hours
- Overnight Mweka camp (3.100m)
Day 06: Mweka Camp (3.100m) - Mweka Village - Arusha :
- Descend steeply through the forest
- Narrow path by rainy weather very muddy
- After the path widens to a track which leads to Mweka Gate
- 2 hours drive to Arusha

Day 01: Arusha (1.540m) - Umbwe Gate (1.400m) -Umbwe Cave (2.850m) :
- 2 hour drive to Kilimanjaro National Park Gate at Umbwe.
- Trek along a narrow ridge between the Lonzo and Umbwe rivers to reach Umbwe Cave (2.850m)
- The whole trek takes between 4 and 5 hours
- Overnight in tents
Day 02: Umbwe Cave (2.850m) - Barranco Hut (3.950m) :
- From caves follow the path up the rich
- Trail leaves the forest and passes through heather
- Once in open moorland view on first peaks
- Junction paths who leads to Lava Tower Hut and Barranco Hut
- Follow right path to Barranco hut (3.950m)
- The whole trek takes between 3 and 4 hours
- Overnight in tents
Day 03: Barranco Camp (3.950m) - Karanga Valley :
- Steeply climbs out of the Barracno Valley,
- crosses the Barranco wall to the South
- Overnight Karanga Valley
- The whole trek takes between 4 and 5 hours
- Overnight in tents
Day 04: Karanga Valley - Barafu Hut (4.600m) :
- Leave the Karanga Valley,
- Turns north to reach Barafu Hut (4.600m).
- Overnight in Barafu Camp
- The whole trek takes between 4 and 5 hours
Day 05: Barafu Hut (4.600m) - Uhuru Peak (5.895m) - Mweka Camp (3.100m) :
- Start around midnight
